Sumina Studer Hosts Classic Violin Olympus in Dubai with Medici.tv

Sumina Studer was recently invited to host the internationally broadcast Classic Violin Olympus live in Dubai, a prestigious violin competition with a total prize pool of €320,000. The winner received the grand prize of €200,000, and each finalist was awarded €10,000 alongside concert engagements by the 25-person jury consisting of conductors and Directors of major classical music institutions.

In collaboration with Medici.tv, Sumina led a wide range of digital coverage: conducting one-on-one spotlight interviews with jury members and directors from top classical music institutions, moderating six in-depth guest panel talks on the future of violin performance and the music industry, on-stage presenting, content creation, and more.

Guest Lecturer at Hochschule für Musik Würzburg: Digital Branding for Classical Musicians

Sumina Studer was invited to lecture at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg, delivering her workshop "Modern Communication and Social Media for Musicians in the 21st Century."

Promoting Talent with the London Symphony Orchestra: Sumina Studer Supports LSO Conservatoire Scholarship

Sumina Studer partnered with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) to promote the LSO Conservatoire Scholarship, a major initiative supporting young musicians studying in London. The scholarship provides mentorship, professional development, and financial support for 10 talented students.

Sumina was the first influencer to ever collaborate with the LSO, and her digital campaign raised awareness to the point of leading to the highest number of applications the program has received to date.

Tonebase Festival Münster: Sumina Studer Lectures on Social Media for Musicians

At the inaugural Tonebase Festival in Münster, Sumina Studer led a lecture and participated in the panel discussion on the future and communication for classical musicians. The audience included students aged 10 to 55, making it an intergenerational teaching setting.

The panel also featured faculty members of the festival, discussing how platforms like YouTube and Instagram can be used to empower musicians at every stage of their career. Sumina will return to the festival again in autumn 2025 to expand on these topics.

As Sales Executive and Manager of East Coast Partnerships at Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, Sumina initiated and formed the company’s first pop-up store in New York City.

In a newfound partnership with AfterArts, a membership concert series known for unique classical concert experiences, Florian Leonhard Fine Violins sponsored the Kreutzer Stradivarius violin for a performance by violinist Max Tan, who performed Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata, alongside the original manuscript from the Juilliard Manuscript Collection - offering audiences an exceptional blend of music and history.

Based in London, Sumina travels to New York regularly to manage sales and partnerships across the East Coast, strengthening Florian Leonhard Fine Violins’ presence in the region.

Charity Concert Raises Over £23,000 for Save the Children UK: Supporting “We Have One World” Initiative

As a trustee of We Have One World, Sumina recently played a leading role in organizing a charity concert and auction in London, raising over £23,000 for Save the Children UK. The sold-out event brought together an intergenerational roster of performers and supporters, uniting young musicians, acclaimed soloists, and philanthropic brands in support of global humanitarian aid.

The concert was co-hosted by Sumina and fellow trustee Miles Contreras-Brown, and took place in collaboration with Prelude Education. Notably supported by luxury and music industry partners including Bulgari, GEWA Strings, Aspinal of London, Maison Ava, Safiyaa, and Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, the evening featured both live performances and a silent auction with exclusive prizes.

In addition to her behind-the-scenes work, Sumina also performed alongside emerging musicians, embodying the evening’s ethos of collaboration and intergenerational mentorship. A. Stradivari Violin Loan by Stradivari Stiftung Habisreutinger

In March 2019, Sumina was loaned a fine italian violin by famed violinmaker Antonio Stradivari, made in Cremona, Italy in 1707. This loan is made possible by the swiss foundation Stradivari-Stiftung Habisreutinger.
This violin is a new addition to their collection. Sumina joins their instrument loan roster of musicians such as Antoine Tamestit, Xiaoming Wang, and more.

Antonio Stradivari is almost universally regarded as the greatest violin maker in history, and the value of his instruments reflects that exalted status. The pinnacle of Stradivari's career is known as the Golden Period and lasted roughly from 1700 to 1720, which includes Sumina’s instrument. Stradivari made nearly a thousand instruments, of which about only 650 survive.

C. Camilli Violin Loan by Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben

Sumina was loaned a fine italian violin by violinmaker Camillo Camilli, made in Mantua, Italy in 1731, upon selection of the german foundation "Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben", which annually distributes fine instruments to young established musicians in Germany.

Camillo Camilli is considered one of the finest 18th Century makers of the Mantua School. Although his primary violin making mentor was Antonio Zanotti, Camilli was heavily influenced by Pietro Guarneri’s violin making style. Camilli instruments are known for their superior craftsmanship, which features appealing materials and a lovely golden-orange varnish married with the high arching of Guarneri and Amati-inspired scrolls.
